In 1913, just before the U.S. entered WWI, The H.D. Lee Mercantile Company was the first workwear manufacturer in the U.S. to offer a one-piece coverall. This was an epic move. During a time when early automobiles were notorious for breaking down, Lee’s one-piece garment was a lifesaver to have in the trunk. And the nation loved it. This iconic garment went on to outfit all kinds of labor, from railroad workers to farmers to aviators. Now, over 100 years later, with the inspiration from our historic workwear line, we have re-designed this one-piece for a purely fashion purpose that still works it with our authentic Lee details slightly updated for the modern man. Details include 100% lightweight cotton denim, Iconic front spade pockets, 17.5" leg opening to fit over work boots, full-body metal zipper, and archival Union-All woven label and hardware.
