With roots in seersucker fabric, the more durable hickory stripe became synonymous with locomotive workers at the turn of the century. As an ideal fabric to keep workers cool while running steam engines, the iconic pattern also blurred oil stains amidst its ubiquitous blue-and-white lines. Our carpenter jean picks up where our historic Union-Alls left off. Utilitarian in every way, the industrious Lee spirit is woven into this durable denim, triple-stitched seams, roomy pockets and that tell-tale hammer loop. We modernized the fit by revising it to mirror our 101Z, just with a slimmer 14 ½ tapered leg opening and added workwear-inspired labels.
