Description
Our unlined Loco Chore Coat (a.k.a., the 91-J) was originally designed as a workmans overcoat to pair with our bib overalls, which became the unofficial uniform of railroad workers. Debuting in 1925, this garments design remained relatively unchanged through its retirement in 1982; a testament to its classic good looks that have transcended into contemporary street style. Weve brought the 91J back in all its workwear glory. Straight from the archives, the large front-facing pockets, curved hem, branded snap buttons, reinforced sleeves and triple-needle stitching are all here. We also included the original interior hidden pocket, where train conductors would often keep their small notepads to log information. Finished with archival hardware and woven labels.
