Women's Fit Guide

For over 100 years, fit—and the comfort from a great fit—has been at the forefront of every pair we design. Waist, hips, backside, undercarriage, length—our design team sweats the small stuff for women’s body types. They consider how your body will move and how your skin will feel in every style and every fabric. We do it because we love great design and because that’s what it takes to get garments that fit this good.

Rise and Shine

When people talk about the “rise” on a pair of jeans, it’s all about the distance from the crotch (yeah, we wish there was a better word too, but here we are) to the top of the waistband. Basically, it’s where your waistband hits you. The perfect rise will give you the best silhouette.

Low Rise
Sits below the belly button by 2 inches or more. Think the classic rockstar look.

Mid-Rise
Sits slightly below the belly button. Think the timeless, original jeans fit.

High Rise
Sits at or above the belly button. Think mom jeans. The cool ones.
